Service & Installation Notes

1. Shut off the engine, allow all exhaust components to cool completely, and disconnect the battery to prevent accidental starting during service.
2. Support heavy exhaust manifolds and elbows/risers securely during disassembly so weight does not hang on mounting studs or damage mating flanges.
3. Clean old gasket material and corrosion from the cylinder head, manifold, and elbow/riser sealing surfaces without gouging the metal; check flanges for flatness and inspect drain plug threads.
4. Compare the supplied manifold gaskets, elbow/riser gaskets, and O-ring drain plugs directly against the removed parts and port passages before assembly.
5. Tighten fasteners and drain plugs according to the sequence and specifications in your engine service manual, then inspect all joints for exhaust or water leaks during initial operation. Shut down immediately and inspect if any leakage or abnormal temperature occurs.
