This aftermarket 3-inch exhaust spacer kit corresponds to primary OEM reference Mercury Quicksilver 864929A3. It is designed for servicing the 3-inch spacer arrangement on compatible 2004–2016 MerCruiser MCM V-6 and V-8 non-EC engines and 2002–2016 MerCruiser MIE V-8 non-EC engines.
Selection requires a dry-joint, 14° warm-riser exhaust arrangement configured for standard cooling; this kit is not for 3-inch closed-cooling applications or 1.7-inch spacer setups.

Service & Installation Notes

- Ensure the engine is completely cool, shut off the battery switch, and take precautions to prevent accidental starting before beginning exhaust work.
- Drain the exhaust cooling passages according to your MerCruiser service manual and properly support heavy risers, spacers, and manifolds during disassembly.
- Compare the replacement 3-inch spacer kit directly with the removed parts to verify the dry-joint mating faces, 14° warm-riser geometry, and standard-cooling passage orientation.
- Clean and inspect all manifold and riser sealing surfaces, protecting the machined dry-joint interfaces from scratches, nicks, or leftover gasket material.
