Service & Installation Notes

General service guidance only. Use the service manual for your exact engine and exhaust configuration.

1. Ensure the engine is completely shut off, cool to the touch, and secured against accidental starting before servicing the exhaust system.
2. Verify that the removed hoses are from the upper exhaust hose position corresponding to reference 3852696, rather than lower exhaust hose positions (such as 3852741 or 3852742).
3. Clean and inspect the mating exhaust pipe and elbow/riser sealing surfaces for corrosion, pitting, or debris that could interfere with hose seating.
4. Position the new exhaust bellows/hoses without twisting or kinking, following the alignment and clamping procedures specified in the OEM service manual.
5. After installation, inspect all exhaust connections during initial operation and shut down immediately if any exhaust or water leakage is observed.
