Service & Installation Notes

1. Shut down the engine, allow all exhaust components to cool completely, and disconnect the battery to prevent accidental starting during service.
2. Support the exhaust manifold securely while removing mounting fasteners so weight is not placed on adjacent hoses, fittings, or sealing surfaces.
3. Clean the cylinder head and manifold mating surfaces thoroughly, removing old gasket material and corrosion without gouging the metal.
4. Compare the port layout and mounting holes of the new gaskets against the manifold and cylinder head, then install and tighten fasteners to the sequence and specification in your engine service manual.
5. After reassembly, run the engine under normal operating conditions and inspect the manifold joint for any signs of exhaust gas leakage. Stop the engine immediately and inspect if abnormal noise, odor, or leakage occurs.
