Service & Installation Notes

1. Ensure the engine is shut off, completely cool, and secured against accidental starting before beginning exhaust service.
2. Support heavy exhaust manifolds and elbows/risers during disassembly and assembly to prevent flange damage or personal injury.
3. Clean all mating surfaces on the cylinder heads, exhaust manifolds, and elbows/risers thoroughly, protecting the sealing faces from gouges or debris.
4. Verify the orientation and port alignment of the manifold gaskets, elbow/riser gaskets, and drain plugs with O-rings against the factory service manual, then tighten fasteners to the manufacturer's specified sequence and torque.
5. Inspect the work area after startup and stop the engine immediately to check the joints if any exhaust or sealing abnormality is observed.
